Boxing Day

 inlovewithfashion dress // Chockers shoes

I wore this amazing sparkly Love dress for boxing day with the in-laws. I'm afraid this is the best picture I got of it but it's coming with  me to Paris on Sunday, so I'm sure you'll see it in all it's glory soon. We spent boxing day opening belated xmas pressies with the kids and enjoying lots more roasters! I'm looking forward to next Christmas when these cuties understand what's going on...

Leave any recommendations for Paris food/sightseeing in comments please?!

I wish it could be Christmas every day...

I can't believe Christmas has been and gone. I seriously don't feel like I've had a Christmas. Not that it was crap (it definitely wasn't!), it just went by so quickly and I'm back to work already. What's that about? Working between Christmas and New Year should be banned. At least then everybody would have an actual sensible excuse to go nuts in Asda.
I thought I'd share a few photos from the day with my family. I'm a very lucky lady and am writing this post from my brand spanking shiny new laptop! Thanks Santa Gordon! He's been enjoying his Christmas pressie too...
This year we went out for lunch at a local restaurant called The Tufted Duck. Despite the lack of roast potatoes (only 2, pfft!) the food was fantastic, but I'm still a homebird at heart. Nothing beats Christmas dinner at home.
I'm not sure we'll be welcome back after the chaos we left anyway...
The rest of my day was spent chilling at my Mum & Dad's - playing board games, watching comedy DVDs and the usual crap on TV, eating crisps and dip... and cheese and crackers... and chocolate. And drinking Baileys. All the best things about the festive season!
My sister, my mum and me.
Me and Gordon... I wore my Primark dress // House of Holland tights // Carvela heels

Hope you all had a lovely day and made it onto Santa's nice list!

Merry Christmas Mothertruckers!

Wishing you all a fantastic day filled with family, friends and festive cheer! I hope Santa brings you everything you wished for. I'm off to my Mum's for lunch with my favourites...and the family. (I kid!) Make the most of the holidays, however you're spending them!

The Christmas Party & The Valleys!

I'm a little delayed in posting this (I've been lazy/too busy watching soaps - how exciting is Hollyoaks?!) but here it is, at last. My works Christmas night out was on the 8th. We had dinner at Cocoa (not as impressed as usual, unfortunately), followed by a short and sweet trip to Revolution and drinks back at the hotel.

My entire outfit was from Primark. Sequin dress, blingy necklace and my new favourite spiked sandals, at a total cost of £35! Like half the female population of the UK, I've developed a bit of a sequin fetish lately. I took one picture (above) with  my camera before the battery died.... :(

Luckily my phone came to the rescue...

We bumped into these 2 lovely ladies from (*read with your best Welsh accent*) "The Valleys" in our hotel...

I must confess I had ZERO idea who they were, but Mags got pretty excited about it. I've heard they have a bit of a shady reputation from their MTV show (one of them TOWIE, Made in Chelsea type things, in case you're wondering...) but they were both gorgeous, friendly girls!

Look at those shoes!! ^^

It was a pretty tame night, but I enjoyed it! Will hopefully post more on the dress soon - I'm planning on wearing it again on Christmas day and probably at some point during the New Year celebrations. You know, when I'm in Paris........ ;)

Hope you're all enjoying your own festivities so far! 6 sleeps!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

My weekend off has been spent getting into the festive spirit. Our decorations are up, the living room is filled with twinkling lights, it snowed (again!), we got all our Christmas shopping done, drank baileys and watched Christmas movies!

Santa Claus, I'm ready for you!

So come dance this silence down through the morning...

On Friday we celebrated Gordon's birthday. I baked him a cake and we went out for Chinese food with friends, followed by a "few" drinks back at the house.

 H&M jumper £14.99 and tutu dress £14.99 // Christian Louboutin heels £60 // Primark necklace £3.99

I used a Betty Crocker devils food cake mix and their chocolate fudge icing, and decorated with smarties and maltesers - not a patch on last year's guitar cake but much quicker and easier!

Happy birth-week Gordon!

All the leaves are brown...

After a long walk in the park with Gordon and Harley, I've discovered I really love autumn and all it's pretty colours! Shame winter is about to take over. Give it a few weeks and I'll be gushing about how wonderful the pretty snow is!

New Look jacket // H&M jumper & sunnies // Primark jeans // Hunter original gloss wellies

I'm obsessed with the H&M jumper I'm wearing here. I bought it in Glasgow and have worn it just about every day since - no exaggeration! It also comes in mint and a blush pink colour - both of which are on my Christmas wishlist. I'll try and get a better photo of it soon :)

Paris is always a good idea...

I mentioned previously that Gordon and I have booked a trip to Paris to celebrate the New Year. After spending the last hour of my life browsing dreamy photographs of the beautiful city of lights, I was inspired to share some of my own (not so dreamy, but still nostalgia-inducing) photos from our trip last year...

 La tour Eiffel
I could happily have this for breakfast for the rest of my life.
The view from the eiffel tower - of an unintentionally heart shaped queue below :)
Pont des Arts - we will be adding our own padlock this time!
Still the best chocolate pudding I've ever had.
 Catacombes de Paris
 Père Lachaise Cemetery
 Jim Morrison's grave
Arc de Triomphe

We are hoping this time to explore more of the city. We've done all the major tourist things now so we want to discover new places and experiences, as well as fitting in as much shopping as possible. Top of my list is seeing the festive window displays at Printemps and Galeries Lafayette. And I can't wait to see all the Christmas lights! Summer in Paris was gorgeous but I imagine it'll be on a whole new scale of beautiful in the winter time. Please let me know if you have any recommendations for us - things to do, places to go/see/eat/shop, anything at all... It would be greatly appreciated! Merci beaucoup!
