If I were a boy...

Topshop jumper & necklace // New Look shirt // Dorothy Perkins jeans // River Island chelsea boots // Next watch // Eclectic Eccentricity bracelet

Oh hello last day of holidays :( pretty sure that can't of been a whole week already?
This is me channeling my inner Chung/attempting the androgynous look on Thursday. I just wanted something comfy and easy for sitting in the hairdressers for 2 hours, but ended up quite liking it and taking photos to show you. Usually I prefer things to be a bit more feminine, I'm quite scared of the whole androgynous thing!  But I think the lace detail on the jumper and the pony necklace soften it. Plus the fact my hairdresser styled my hair differently. I love it/her. I wish she could do my hair every day!
So what do you think, could I  give Alexa Chung a run for her money? Ha I wish!

Women seem wicked when you're unwanted...

Mary Katrantzou for Topshop tee // Topshop harness ring // H&M jacket & necklace // Primark skirt // Chockers shoes // Model's own dog's tail!

Hello again! I've been a busy little blogger this week, here's another quick one before I head to the gym. I wore this outfit yesterday. We didn't do much at all, apart from go a wee drive in the sun when Gordon finished work. This is actually the 1st time I've shown the Mary Katrantzou tee in an outfit post. The detail is so similar to the prints on her mainline, I love it! I've also noticed that Love has a shirt dress with a very similar print! This necklace is definitely my new favourite piece of jewellery, I think you'll be seeing a lot more of it :)

Also I've been busy with Pinterest the last few days, don't forget to follow me and leave a comment with your username here, so I can follow back! I'm officially stalking Isabel Lucas on there. #girlcrush

Only 4 days of my holidays left, it flies by so quickly!

Talking to the songbird yesterday...

New Look top & beaded bracelets // DIY'd skirt // H&M jacket // Chockers shoes // Topshop necklace // Eclectic Eccentricity bracelet

Apologies for the awkward facials and terrible roots, I hope they don't offend you! My hairs getting sorted on Thursday but there's not much I can do about the face I'm afraid. This skirt was originally a dress from River Island but I cut the top off. I actually prefer it this way. The top of the dress was baggy and shapeless and made my chest look MASSIVE. Like I'm not top heavy enough. It looks a million times better styled with a fitted top and actually gives me a waist. Plus it's mint green shade is perfect for the pastel trend this season. RESULT. This outfit has the potential to be girly and cute but, seeing as I'm not a particularly cute person, I've thrown in my biker jacket, black tights and chunky heeled boots to toughen it up.

The gorgeous feather bracelet I'm wearing is from Eclectic Eccentricity. I won it in a giveaway run by the lovely Kat on jemima.and.ted. I never win anything and I love this bracelet so I'm one happy lady! They have loads of unusual and pretty jewellery on their website, well worth a look! I'm lusting after the quirky Dino-might Dinosaur earrings - the only problem is I can't decide between the T Rex and the Brontosaurus! #dinosaurproblems

My week off has finally landed and I could not be happier! Sometimes I think you just need a break from the day to day monotiny of real life. (I think that's the word I mean?) I don't have much planned for my time off apart from a shopping trip with my Mum and sister, and catching up with friends. Last night I celebrated my 1st day of freedom with a curry date with the boyfriend. Rock n roll!!

Hope you're all having a great weekend!

No news is good news, any news is bad...

New Look top // Dorothy Perkins cardigan, jeans & bracelet // Primark wedges // Mulberry alexa bag // Thomas Sabo necklace & charm bracelet // Dainty Roses ring // (boyfriend's) Rayban sunglasses

Bonjour madames (et monsieurs?) just a quick outfit post today. The flower pattern on this top reminds me of those used in Louis Vuitton's SS12 show, but it was a bargain at £12.99 from New Look! I love the colour of these jeans, but they got wrecked after the 1st wash! The colour is coming off so there's random grey patches all over them. Kind of pissed off as I was planning on wearing them all summer but they look awful! Total waste of money! I can't even return them as I've lost the reciept. Pretty colour but definitely do not recommend buying! Sort it out DP!

Bit of a plain and not very exciting outfit, that I wore on my plain and not very exciting Saturday off! Gordon spent the morning fixing cars for friends so I pottered about the house and cleaned. My favourite thing! The afternoon was spent in wetherspoons "testing" their strawberry daquiris and watching the Grand National (we didn't win). Today is another boring and non exciting day off - I'm full of the cold and could quite happily sleep forever. On the bright side I'm working until Friday and then have 9 much needed days off! HAPPY FACE :)

Lately we've been listening to The NK Jays in our house. They're a 3 piece band based in Glasgow (Gordon's cousins) and play mostly indie/rock music. Their album is due out this year which is exciting! I love songs with lyrics that make you believe and feel everything the writer is feeling, and most of The NK Jays tracks have that effect. Good News is one of my favourites. If you're ever in the area you should definitely pop along to one of their gigs. Play the video below to have a listen and let me know what you think! :)

Jelly Squares

Last week I made these yummy jelly squares using my Mum's recipe. They're possibly my most favourite treat ever! Making them is easy but a little time consuming as you have to wait for the middle layer to set before you add the jelly.

You will need:
1 Packet of Nice biscuits
6oz Margarine or butter
1 Large tin of condensed milk (mmm!)
Juice of 2 (small!) lemons
Gelatine powder
1 Packet raspberry jelly

Step 1: Crush all of the biscuits, melt the butter/marg and mix together. Press this mixture into your tray (I used a casserole dish) to make your bottom layer.

Step 2: Dissolve 1 dessert spoon of the Gelatine powder in 3/4 cup of boiling water. Mix it together with the whole tin of condensed milk and the lemon juice. Try not to squirt lemon juice in your eye - it hurts!
Then pour this over your biscuit base and pop it in the fridge until it sets.

Step 3: Make up your raspberry jelly with 1/2 pint of boiling water. Allow this to cool before pouring over your (set!) gelatine layer.

Pop it back in the fridge until completely set, cut it into whatever sized portions you want et voila!
My favourite "funcy piece" :)

It was all yellow...

New Look denim jacket // Topshop midi dress (last year), bracelet & belt // Dune sandals // Accessorize earrings // Marc by Marc Jacobs sunglasses
These photos from last Sunday are a total contrast to the miserable wet Sunday we have today! :( These were taken near my mum's after our 1st barbeque of the year, I can't wait to have more! I love the sunshine yellow of this Topshop dress (and so do wasps apparently!). It's definitely a summer dress and is so easy to wear. That's why I love midi's in general, you can literally just throw them on but still look well-dressed. Just a short post today as I don't have much to say! Having a lovely lazy Sunday with the boyfriend, who is currently cooking Spagbol - yum!

Today I used to select the winner of my Wonderbra giveaway - Amalea is the lucky winner, congratulations lovely! Wonderbra will be posting your prize to you soon, I hope you like!
Thanks to everyone else who entered :)

P.S. - I'm off work tomorrow for the local holiday woohoo! :)
P.P.S - Yellow is a weird word. Y.E.L.L.O.W. Weird.
