It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

It's Christmas eve!! Only one more sleep til Santa comes :) There's an actual jingling present under the tree with my name on it that I am dying to open, but in the meantime here's how I've been getting into the festive spirit this year...

Putting up our Christmas decorations with a glass of Baileys!

We have a bauble from just about every place we're ever visited. My favourites are the ones we picked up at the Central Park Christmas market right after getting engaged last year...

I had a bit of a disaster and broke the Paris one from New Year 2013 - devastated doesn't even cover it. Watching Home Alone and Elf relieved the pain a little though. Almost as much as eating all of the Christmas food...

Baked Camembert with cranberry sauce in filo pastry, a la Foodie Quine.

The Boozy Cow's epic Christmas dinner!! I've been staying on plan with my diet with just a few cheat meals here and there, I'm calling it damage limitation! Calories don't count on Christmas and Boxing day though ;)

We got in a bit of extra exercise with a trip to the ice rink in Aberdeen's Union Terrace Gardens. I've kept up my usual training right up until last night, will chill Wednesday-Friday and be back swinging my kettlebell by Saturday. Summer bodies are made in the winter as they say! If you fancy some festive exercise the Aberdeen Inspired ice rink is open 12-8pm until 4th January - it's only £3 or a tenner for a family pass.

How have you been getting festive? Hope you all have a fantastic day with family, fun and ALL of the food!

Merry Christmas!

  1. That baked Camembert. Oh my goodness I need that in my face! I love your decorations that you get from around the world, but where do you find them if you visit somewhere in summer??

    1. A lot of souvenir shops or department stores sell them throughout the year - we bought the harrods one in August! :) x

  2. Merry Christmas, hope you had a great day and got everything you hoped for!

I love your decorations from all over the world! A great idea! My partner and I collect key rings/magnets from different countries, how do you get ornaments if you don't go at Christmas time or is that the time that you get them?
