New York, New York : Day 2

On the 2nd day of our NYC adventure we woke up reasonably early and grabbed some breakfast to go from a local bakery. We headed for the Top of the Rock to get an early morning birds eye view of the beautiful city...

I then dragged my long suffering boyfriend around the gorgeous flagship stores on 5th Avenue...

I spent so long admiring diamonds and other such sparkly beauties in Tiffany's that the sun had disappeared by the time we left (no, not night time, I wasn't that long!) and had been replaced by a horrendous downpour of rain. You know when it rains in movies in New York, and the rain drops are like bullets thundering on the ground? It actually happens! We ran through Central Park to the dry haven that was The Natural History Museum. I'm pretty sure everyone else had the same idea as the queues were massive. Luckily they moved quickly and we spent about 4 hours wondering around the various exhibits of the museum...

You can see how wet Gordon got in the rain!!
How do you invite a dinosaur to tea?......

....Tea, Rex?

By the time we left the museum the sun had put his hat back on and we had a little stroll around Central Park.
Here I am soaking up the sun by the turtle pond. I wore... River Island bralet // Primark skirt & earrings // H&M bracelet // Religion bag (borrowed from a friend)

We then enjoyed a few cocktails at Central Park's Loeb Boathouse, which was to become our 2nd home for the week.

Dinner was eaten at Hooters, with more cocktails/pitchers of beer for Gordon...

...and we finished the night on our hotel's roof terrace, taking in the illuminated Times Square view with a gentle breeze and a cool drink.
