Pencil full of lead...

The lovely Katy has asked me to take part in her "Here's how we wear..." series this week - styling one of my favourite items of clothing, the classic pencil skirt. I chose to team my houndstooth print skirt with a peplum top to accentuate my feminine curves hide my permanent food baby! Check out Katy's blog for the feature - I look forward to it every week! It's perfect for a little style inspiration and it's always interesting to see how different people can put their own stamp on the same item.

These photos are pretty blurry/out of focus. My lack of photography skills are starting to piss me off to be honest. I'm thinking of investing in a decent DSLR after Christmas but not sure if I'd have the time/patience to learn how to use it properly. And there's not much point in forking out for one if I'm not gonna do it right... I always try to use natural lighting as that improves the quality, but they still turn out rubbish. You can barely even see the top in these photos - if you have any photography tips I'd love to hear them!? I just feel my blog looks lazy/poor quality with my photos and would be massively improved if they were crisp, clear and actually in focus.

  1. Wow your figure looks banging m'dear!

  2. I love this pencil skirt, it's so striking and nice.

  3. I've been having the exact same thoughts about my photography - your images always look quite sharp though - mine are often blurry!

  4. This peplum top looks amazing with this skirt, your giving me outfit inspiration right here!
