Our favourite event in Aberdeen is back for 2020! Aberdeen Restaurant Week runs from Monday 24th February to Sunday 1st March with nearly 50 city centre eateries offering one off menus and deals across the week.

I'm joining forces with Aberdeen Inspired again to help showcase the best of the event as an official ambassador. As organisers of the event, Aberdeen Inspired aim to reinvigorate the city centre through initiatives like this which benefit both businesses and us as locals. They're also responsible for NuArt, Inspired Nights on the Green and Aberdeen International Comedy Festival.

As usual you can choose from a two course lunch for £10 or three course dinner for £20. You can check out the full list of participating eateries on the Aberdeen Restaurant Week website and view their menus too.
Other options include afternoon teas (£19 for 2 people at the Copthorne Hotel or £10 per person at the Station Hotel), events such as cocktail classes at Namaste Delhi and Sunday Jazz at Café Boheme, who are also offering a 5 course tasting menu with wine pairings for £60! If Italian is more your thing, you'll find a tasting menu at Poldino's for just £30.
Cooking Classes
Cooking Classes
There are some exciting new additions to the ARW line up this year too, with cooking classes now available for booking at four different restaurants! Create your own pasta from scratch at the newly opened PASTA in the indoor market, discover the art and science of Indian cooking at Namaste Delhi, learn to cook traditional Thai dishes at Chaophraya or take a guacamole masterclass for just £5 at Rev de Cuba.
Food Tours
For something a bit different I recommend booking the brand new Street Food Experience Tour. Run by Granite Escapes, the tour will give you the chance to sample some global flavours at street food eateries you may not otherwise have visited, learning about the businesses as well as Aberdeen's own foodie history along the way. Included in the £34 ticket is currywurst at The Pigs Wings, tacos at Latinway, Caribbean callaloo at Tango Turtle plus ice cream and coffee to finish at Mackie's 19.2.
Advance booking is recommend for all restaurants and events.
Where will we be eating?
I'll be checking out the 3 course dinner menu at The Tippling House ahead of the official launch next week! Their ARW menus have always stood out to me so I'm excited to finally go. Keep an eye out on my Instagram and here on the blog for a full review soon.
